Raquel Peña prepares her presidential launch according to the External Sector
The national coordinator of the External Sector with Raquel Peña, Samuel Abreu, confirmed that the Vice President of the Republic will soon begin her public activities aimed at promoting her presidential aspirations. According to what was reported by the work team, this decisive step will take place in the coming days, marking the formal start of her pre-campaign within the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
Although the official has not yet led any proselytizing acts, Abreu highlighted the robustness of her political platform. Currently, the project has an organized structure of more than 75,000 people distributed throughout the national territory, a number that the team expects to see increase significantly once the deployment on the streets begins.
Electoral growth projections
The political leader stressed that Raquel Peña’s position is privileged, since, without having held a single public meeting to date, she already appears as one of the most influential figures within the ruling party. The team’s projections suggest that, after starting her national tours, the vice president could quickly climb positions, achieving second place in 90 days and projecting to lead the PRM’s internal preferences within six months.
Raquel Peña is solid in her presidential project and is counting practically now, within the external sector, with more than 75 thousand people who are already organized.

Deny alliances with other candidates
On another note, the campaign team categorically denied any type of agreement or endorsement by the vice president towards other pre-candidates, including the Minister of Tourism, David Collado. The representatives emphasized that there is no official information linking Peña to other projects and requested respect for her trajectory and leadership, clarifying that any political decision will be communicated directly by her.
Upcoming national meetings
As part of its outreach strategy, the External Sector has scheduled two major consensus-building meetings with the country’s social, professional, and productive sectors:
- October 3: Club San Carlos, Santo Domingo.
- October 18: Club Sameji, Santiago de los Caballeros.
The central objective of these sessions will be to listen to the citizens’ proposals and define the thematic axes that will shape the vice president’s work platform in view of her presidential aspirations.
