DICRIM intensifies the search for a couple accused of assault in the National District
The Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM) has launched an active search operation to locate a man and a woman, who are the main suspects in a violent assault perpetrated against a young man in the Dominican capital.
The incident, which was recorded by security cameras, took place last April on Ramón Cáceres street, specifically in the section between Paraguay and Mauricio Báez streets, in the Ensanche La Fe sector, National District.

The authorities have identified those involved as Darwin Yassel Cepeda and Emili Nicole Vargas Batista. Both are subject to an official arrest warrant, registered under number 0357-JULY-2026, issued following the corresponding investigations into the stabbing attack against Albert Manuel Acosta Castillo.
The authorities have urged the accused to turn themselves in through the appropriate channels to answer to justice for the serious acts they are charged with.

According to the formal complaint filed with the authorities, the assault was not only physical in nature but was also motivated by robbery. According to reports, the attackers allegedly stripped the victim of several valuable items, specifically gold pieces, before fleeing the scene.
It is expected that in the course of the next few hours, those involved will present themselves before the competent authorities to clarify their legal situation and face the consequences of the acts captured on video.
