Dominican Republic Comic Con 2026: Everything you need to know about the third edition
Pop culture is preparing for its most ambitious event in the country. The Dominican Republic Comic Con has officially confirmed the celebration of its third edition, which will take place on October 24 and 25, 2026, at the Puerto San Souci facilities in Santo Domingo Este. During this weekend, the venue will become the epicenter of video games, anime, cosplay, and family entertainment.
Luxury international guests
For this installment, Alofoke Deportes highlights a stellar lineup that will feature world-renowned figures. British actress and musician Natalia Tena, recognized for her iconic roles as Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter saga and Osha in Game of Thrones, heads the list of international guests.
The Latin American dubbing field will also have high-level representation, including:
- Mike Leal (Mexico): Known for voicing Ash Ketchum in Pokémon and Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan.
- Luis Carreño (Venezuela): The official Spanish voice of SpongeBob SquarePants since the year 2000.
- Dafnis Fernández (Mexico): Recognized for playing Roronoa Zoro in One Piece and Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones.
In addition, the art of cosplay will feature the presence of the Mexican experts “Banana Cospboys”, while local talent will be represented by the illustrator Kosena Master.
Skills and special activities
The convention will host the Mega Cosplay Master Cup Central America, a competition where 32 participants will vie for the title. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Megacon Costa Rica 2027, among other significant prizes. Registration for this tournament will be open starting August 29th.
The agenda includes spaces dedicated to diverse communities, such as the K-Mecca Con block for K-pop lovers, the MegaUnboxing show, and the horror block hosted by Proyecto Paranormal Latam.
