Young person from Sabana Grande de Boyá cries out for help to undergo reconstructive surgeries
Juan Carlos Marte Rincón, a 20-year-old young man residing in Gonzalo, Sabana Grande de Boyá, has raised his voice to request solidarity support with the goal of undergoing a series of surgical interventions necessary to treat the aftereffects of a tragic accident that occurred during his childhood.
When he was barely eight months old, a fire caused by a lamp in his home left him with severe burns on various parts of his body. The incident, which occurred while his mother was away due to unforeseen circumstances, left deep scars on his face, chest, arm, and left hand, significantly affecting his quality of life and physical mobility to this day.
Physical limitations and personal improvement
Despite the barriers faced by his left limbs, Marte Rincón has demonstrated a constant spirit of improvement. Currently, he works at a local grocery store to contribute to the support of his parents and cover the basic expenses of his home. However, the income he receives is insufficient to afford the complex medical procedures he requires to improve his health and physical functionality.
My income is not enough to cover the costs of the surgeries and specialized medical treatment I need, since my priority is also to support my parents at home.
