Hearing continues against Pastor Ángel Capellán in San Cristóbal

This Tuesday, the judicial process resumes against Pastor Ángel Capellán, who faces serious accusations of alleged abuse, labor exploitation, and possible human trafficking. The case, which has generated significant attention in the province of San Cristóbal, focuses on activities carried out at a foundation located in the community of La Pared de Haina.

Regularization of legal representation

The previous hearing had to be postponed due to technical complications related to the legal representation of the minors involved in the investigation. As explained by lawyer Luis Carreño, the court granted the necessary time to ensure that all parties were duly represented in accordance with current procedural regulations.

The court decided to postpone the hearing until this Tuesday so that the issue of representation could be regularized, thus ensuring due process for the affected minors.

Details about the plaintiffs

During the previous sessions, it was highlighted that several parents of the minors have shown interest in becoming active participants in the litigation. Although there were initially no formal complaints from the parents, a group of mothers has appeared before the court with the intention of assuming direct representation of their children.

The goal of these families is to present to the judge their perspective on the environment in which the minors were developing within the foundation and to provide key testimonies regarding the events under investigation. With the legal situation now regularized, it is expected that the court can move forward with the coercion measure hearing to determine the next judicial actions against the defendant.

San Cristóbal society remains expectant regarding the results of this session, given that the charges against Pastor Capellán are of a sensitive nature and require a precise judicial determination to clarify the truth of the reported events.
