Luis Abinader moves the presidential office to Santiago for a strategic day
The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, has begun an unprecedented workday in the city of Santiago, marking a milestone by staying overnight in the province and establishing a temporary seat of the Government House. This initiative responds to his firm commitment to decentralize state management and maintain direct contact with the needs of the Cibao region.
During this Tuesday, the president will carry out an intensive agenda that covers key sectors for national development, including health, the electrical system, water supply, construction, and the strengthening of municipal management.
Presidential agenda details
The workday in the Heart City is designed to cover the areas most in demand by the population and productive sectors. The established meeting schedule is as follows:
- 10:00 A.M.: Meeting with health sector authorities, coordinated by Senator Daniel Rivera and the regional director of the National Health Service, Bernardo Hilario.
- 11:00 A.M.: Meeting with the Electricity Cabinet to evaluate the regional energy system.
- 12:00 P.M.: Reception of the APROCOVICI commission, led by its president, Mario Bonilla.
- 2:30 P.M.: Meeting with 16 directors of the Association of Provision Wholesalers of Santiago (Amaprosan).
- 4:00 P.M.: Crucial meeting with the mayors of all municipalities in the province, coordinated by Governor Rosa Santos.
- 5:30 P.M.: Final session with the Water and Construction Cabinet.
This work dynamic allows Santiago to become the epicenter of government decisions today, facilitating direct supervision of priority projects and constant dialogue with local authorities and representatives of the country’s productive sectors.
