UASD-Azua strengthens ties with professionals from Padre Las Casas to boost higher education
With the goal of strengthening the academic presence in the province of Azua, the director of the UASD-Azua Center, Francisco Ramírez, led a strategic meeting with various professionals from the municipality of Padre Las Casas. This socialization session is part of the institutional plan to expand university ties and bring higher education to every corner of the region.
The center’s deputy director, Manuela Pérez Mejía, and communicator Sandy Báez were present at the activity, where they, along with local professionals, analyzed key proposals to boost academic and professional growth in the area. The dialogue allowed for the identification of the most urgent training needs to respond to the demands of the current labor market.
Promotion of academic offerings and regional development
One of the fundamental pillars of this approach is to increase student enrollment, encouraging both young high school graduates and professionals from Padre Las Casas and its surrounding communities to pursue their degrees and specializations at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.
The university seeks to consolidate a greater territorial presence, bringing its higher education opportunities closer to young people in the different municipalities, facilitating access to quality training that contributes directly to the development of our province.
