Santiago Matías denounces cancellation of meeting at UNICARIBE due to political pressure

The director of Alofoke Media Group, Santiago Matías, recently denounced the suspension of an academic meeting that was scheduled for this Tuesday at the facilities of the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE). According to what was stated by the businessman, the activity was suddenly canceled due to alleged pressure exerted by political sectors.

During a special broadcast of Alofoke Radio Show, Matías detailed that the event organizers did not receive a clear or formal justification regarding the decision to cancel the meeting. The communicator emphasized that, although the cancellation itself is not a personal inconvenience for him, he regrets the lack of transparency in the process and the influence of external factors in the educational sphere.

Political sectors scared the university owner. They didn’t give explanations to the rector or the person who coordinated it, and they simply canceled the event.

An impact on the student community

Matías attributed this measure to discomfort on the part of certain groups regarding his growing influence among the young public. According to his statements, the cancellation is a response to the refusal of sectors that view his connection with the university community with suspicion, which he estimates at some 30 to 40 thousand students at said institution.

  • The businessman described the event as a missed opportunity for students to learn firsthand about a story of discipline and resilience.
  • He highlighted his career path from his beginnings in the Capotillo sector to becoming one of the most influential figures in the digital ecosystem in the Dominican Republic.
  • He reiterated that his success is the result of constant work that has managed to connect with new generations.

The director of Alofoke Media Group concluded his speech by pointing out that the work carried out over the years is not the product of improvisation, reaffirming his commitment to continue bringing his message of self-improvement to the spaces where he is allowed to interact with Dominican youth.
