ADOCALZA supports transparency in INABIE school footwear bidding
The Dominican Association of Footwear Manufacturers (ADOCALZA) has expressed its firm support for the new evaluation mechanisms implemented by the National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE). These measures seek to optimize the selection process for bidders for the acquisition of school footwear for the 2026-2027 school year, ensuring greater rigor and transparency.
The organization assured that the national manufacturers that were awarded the contract possess the installed capacity and the necessary infrastructure to meet the delivery volumes required by the Dominican State.
Methodology focused on real production
ADOCALZA described the new evaluation methodology as a significant step forward, as it directly links the productive capacity of companies with their facilities, machinery, and the number of formal employees registered with Social Security. According to the trade association, this approach allows for an objective assessment, preventing the declaration of production capacities that do not correspond to the actual infrastructure of the bidders.
