Strengthening inclusive education in Baní with a new specialized center
The Dominican educational system takes a significant step toward inclusion with the inauguration of the Professor Bienvenido Armando Peña Arias Special Education School. Located in the Peravia community, Baní municipality, this modern infrastructure arrives to transform the pedagogical care of students who require specific support in their learning process.
The opening ceremony was led by Luis Alberto Herrera, director of Educational District 03-04, who was accompanied by various provincial and municipal authorities and prominent members of the educational community. Representing the Regional Directorate 03 of Education, specialized technicians emphasized that the creation of this space is fundamental to guarantee quality training that respects the individual needs of each student.
A commitment to educational equity
The launch of this educational center responds to a long-standing demand from families in the Peravia province. By having a facility designed for special education, access barriers are eliminated and a safe environment is offered where students can develop their capabilities to the fullest.
The opening of this center constitutes a fundamental pillar for the families in the area, by providing a space dedicated exclusively to support and the use of educational resources adapted for the integral development of the students.
During the event, the authorities emphasized the following key points regarding the impact of this project:
