The First Collegiate Court of the Duarte province handed down a 30-year prison sentence against Eddy de Jesús Camarena Jiménez, after finding him guilty of committing parricide, voluntary manslaughter, and attempted murder. In accordance with the resolution, Camarena Jiménez must serve the maximum sentence established by law at the Vista al Valle Correction and Rehabilitation Center. This sentence is the result of an exhaustive investigation into the events that occurred in March of last year.

The judicial file details that the defendant was responsible for taking the lives of two people, in addition to attacking the integrity of a third. The fatal victims of this unfortunate event were:
- Milagros Altagracia Jiménez, mother of the convicted person.
