Unicaribe official’s dismissal demanded following invitation to Santiago Matías
Communicator Leonardo Jacque has raised his voice to formally request that the Universidad del Caribe (Unicaribe) expel Sócrates Aguasvivas Koppelman. The petition arises following the signing of an official communication in which an invitation was extended to content creator Santiago Matías to participate in a discussion with the student community of said academy.
According to what was stated by Jacque, the call was not well received by a part of the student body, who expressed their rejection of the influencer’s presence. Given this scenario, the communicator pointed out that the academic authorities chose to cancel the activity following the pressure received.
Additional measures requested
Although Leonardo Jacque positively valued the university’s decision to suspend the meeting, he believes the institution must go further and take disciplinary measures against the official responsible for the invitation. In his statements, the communicator announced that he will formalize his request to the university authorities to demand the definitive removal of Aguasvivas Koppelman from his position.
Educational institutions have the fundamental responsibility of forming upright citizens, which is why Unicaribe must demonstrate its commitment to building a society based on solid values.

In the communicator’s opinion, the content creator’s profile contravenes the ethical principles that should prevail in an academic environment.
Call for social reflection
Beyond the particular case, the communicator called on citizens to actively get involved in debates about social values. Jacque emphasized the need to defend an educational approach aimed at improving the country’s social structure.
As of the closing of this edition, the University of the Caribbean has not issued an official statement regarding whether it will take additional measures concerning the official in question or if it will comment on the request submitted by the communicator.
