Alexandra Montero Case: Serious negligence reported after minor found in Arenoso

The tragic passing of Alexandra Montero, known as “Paloma,” a 16-year-old teenager whose body was found in an irrigation canal in El Aguacate de Arenoso, Duarte province, has uncovered a series of alarming irregularities. Hansel García, a panelist on “Esto No es Radio Show,” presented a detailed update on the case, pointing out critical failures in both the family environment and the protocol of the forensic authorities.

An environment of nocturnal lack of control

According to the information provided by García, the minor was at an establishment called “El Chispero,” a place frequented for alcohol consumption until the early hours of the morning. According to the data collected, after a basketball game ended, the young woman left the place around 3:00 a.m. in the company of an adult woman identified as Brenda.

The investigation points to others involved, including individuals nicknamed “El Médico” and “Violo”. The former, after being detained, allegedly stated that he left the minor under the guardianship of “Violo”, who subsequently turned himself in to the authorities. García firmly questioned the permissiveness that allows the presence of minors in establishments selling alcoholic beverages during the early morning hours.

We are talking about underage girls… people who have gone out to the streets permanently to drink alcohol.

Outrage over the handling of the corpse

One of the most critical points of the complaint is the treatment received by the victim’s remains. Garcia revealed that, due to the lack of personnel and resources in the Duarte province, the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) did not carry out the transfer to an adequate morgue.

The communicator reported that the body was placed directly into an open niche in a local cemetery, leaving the remains unprotected. This situation forced community members to conduct nightly surveillance rounds to prevent the body from being desecrated or the loss of evidence essential to the autopsy process.

Critique of parental responsibility

The panel of «Esto No es Radio» also focused on the lack of supervision by the minor’s parents. García highlighted that the victim’s father found out about the disappearance through social media, evidencing a worrying disconnection in the family nucleus.

  • The family environment allowed for a level of freedom inappropriate for the teenager’s age.
  • The panel of experts emphasized that the justice system tends to fail more frequently when the families involved belong to low-income strata.
  • An urgent call was made to the authorities to inspect businesses that operate outside legal hours and allow access to minors.

Finally, the Alofoke Deportes team underscores the importance of addressing this issue from its source: the home. Panelist Lisbeth Santos emphasized the need for parents and caregivers to regain control and protection of minors, preventing tragedies like “Paloma’s” from continuing to occur in the face of social indifference.
