Sanitary sewer system works advance in Licey al Medio
President Luis Abinader, accompanied by the executive director of the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewerage (INAPA), Wellington Arnaud, conducted a supervision visit to the progress of the construction of the sanitary sewer system in the municipality of Licey al Medio. According to the official schedule, the first stage of this strategic project is projected to become operational by January 2027.
Technical details and progress of the work
During the tour, the authorities evaluated the current state of the wastewater treatment plant, a structure that already registers 90% completion. Likewise, the significant progress in the sanitary network was highlighted, where 45 kilometers of pipes have been installed, representing 85% of the total project progress. Currently, only 5.8 kilometers remain to complete this infrastructure phase.
This project represents a comprehensive sanitation solution for Licey al Medio, serving as a fundamental pillar in government actions aimed at strengthening sanitary infrastructure and environmental protection in the Cibao region.
