Monte Plata – Deputy Jhon Contreras reaffirmed his dedication to sports development in the province during an active day this Saturday. The legislator got involved in various activities in several communities, demonstrating his commitment to local sports. The deputy’s agenda began in the municipal district of Mama Tingó, specifically in Hato Viejo. There, Contreras gave basketballs to young people in the community. This initiative seeks to promote sports practice and support local talent, fostering an environment of growth and development for young people. Subsequently, Contreras went to the main municipality of Monte Plata, where he participated in the inauguration of the XXI Superior Softball Tournament Monte Plata 2026. He had the honor of throwing the first pitch, marking the official start of the tournament.
