The player will travel to Philadelphia this Monday to undergo a comprehensive evaluation with Dr. William Meyers, a renowned specialist who recently performed surgery on his teammate Matt Chapman. Giants manager Tony Vitello confirmed that there is a high probability that Devers will require corrective surgery, which could be scheduled for this Tuesday following the medical diagnosis.

Despite physical limitations, Devers achieved outstanding numbers that consolidated him as the most important offensive piece for San Francisco. His final statistics reflect the impact he had on the team:
- .258 batting average and an .865 OPS.
- 37 home runs, the highest figure for a Giants player since Barry Bonds in 2004.
- 98 RBIs, leading the team in this department since 2013.
- A consistent playing ability, having started 148 of the franchise’s first 149 games.
His season finale was particularly explosive, managing to hit 11 home runs in his last 18 games, falling just one home run short of matching his personal record of 38 set in 2021.
Eyes set on the future
Devers’ commitment to the organization is long-term, with a contract in effect through 2033. San Francisco’s management maintains absolute confidence that the Dominican, along with first baseman Bryce Eldridge, will be the offensive core that guides the team toward success in the coming years.
To fill the vacancy on the 28-man roster, the organization promoted outfielder Scott Bandura from Triple-A Sacramento, who made his Major League debut this Sunday.
