La Peñita by El Dotol arrives in Villa Duarte with a unique cultural proposal
The iconic cultural space La Chencha, located under the Mella bridge in Villa Duarte, will be the setting for an event that promises to transform entertainment in Santo Domingo East. The platform Reconocidos en tu Barrio has taken control of these facilities to present La Peñita by El Dotol, a day filled with rhythm and tradition.
The appointment is scheduled for next Saturday, September 12th, starting at 6:00 in the evening. This gathering seeks to rescue the essence of our music, offering a lineup that includes merengue, bachata, salsa, and traditional rhythms performed by prominent figures of the national artistic scene.

Under the slogan “If you’re not going to enjoy yourself, don’t come!”, the organizers have established clear guidelines to ensure the enjoyment of everyone present:
- Access is completely free with no cover charge.
- The playing of urban music such as dembow has been restricted to maintain the focus on traditional genres.
- For security reasons, entry with glass bottles is prohibited.
- Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the event with greater comfort.
The event is supported by entities committed to healthy recreation and Dominican culture, such as GBC Farmacias, Reconocidos.net, and Banco de Reservas (Banreservas).
