Road infrastructure works advance in the province of Azua

The Vice Minister of Public Works and Communications, Robinson Durán, conducted a strategic tour of the Azua province with the goal of supervising the progress of two important bridges that seek to transform road connectivity in the region. During the day, he was accompanied by Senator Lía Díaz and Deputy Brenda Ogando.

Supervision in Guayabal and Project 2-C

The commission visited the municipality of Guayabal to inspect the work on the bridge over the La Tina River, a project long awaited by the area’s inhabitants. This infrastructure is vital to overcome the communication difficulties that have affected the community for decades. Subsequently, the tour moved to the municipal district of Proyecto 2-C, where a bridge is being built that responds to a social demand of more than 30 years.

The execution of both infrastructures represents a fundamental step to improve mobility, facilitate commercial exchange, and significantly raise the living conditions of the residents in these communities.

  • Connectivity: Reduction in travel times and greater road safety.
  • Social impact: Effective response to historical citizen demands.
  • Economic development: Improvement in the flow of goods and local revitalization.

For his part, Vice Minister Robinson Durán assured that, under the guidelines of President Luis Abinader and the management of the Ministry of Public Works, work is underway to accelerate delivery times. The goal is to ensure that the infrastructure is operational as soon as possible, thus meeting the objectives of strengthening the national road network and addressing the priority needs of the provinces.
