The star Dominican second baseman, Ketel Marte, made his official return to the Arizona Diamondbacks this Monday. Starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt delivered an outstanding performance on the mound, keeping Arizona in the game after pitching six innings of two-run ball. The damage for the home team came via a solo home run by Bryson Stott in the second inning and an RBI double by Bryce Harper in the third.
Despite the opportunities generated in the final episodes, including runners on base in the eighth and ninth innings, the lack of a timely hit sealed the Diamondbacks’ fate against the Phillies.
