Medical care strengthened in Samaná with new diagnostic center in Las Galeras

Doctor Julio Landrón, executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), inaugurated a modern and spacious Diagnostic Center in the community of Las Galeras, Samaná province. The project, which required an investment of over 5.5 million pesos, seeks to decentralize health services and guarantee quality care for the residents of this tourist area.

During the handover ceremony, the official called on the inhabitants to ensure the maintenance and care of the facilities, emphasizing that it is a public asset intended to improve the quality of life for all citizens.

Continuous service and new projects

One of the most notable pieces of news during the inauguration was the SNS’s commitment to keep the center operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To meet this goal, Landrón assured that the center will have the necessary medical and administrative staff to provide assistance without interruption.

Likewise, the director of the SNS announced that health expansion plans in the province continue to advance, confirming that the construction of a new Diagnostic Center in Rincón de Las Galeras is already in the bidding phase, thus strengthening the service network throughout the region.

This work is a reflection of the Government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that every corner of our province has access to timely diagnostics and dignified health services.

Reaction of local authorities

The event was attended by various figures from the political and social spheres, who positively valued the management carried out. The mayor of Las Galeras, Ana Reyes, expressed her gratitude to President Luis Abinader and Dr. Landrón for listening to the needs of the district and fulfilling the promise of this center.

For his part, Deputy Cecilio García underscored the strategic importance of the project, highlighting that the investment not only benefits local residents, but also raises the standard of health safety in an area with a high flow of visitors.
