Fuerza del Pueblo strengthens its structure in San Francisco de Macorís with the swearing-in of new teachers
In an event held in San Francisco de Macorís, the People’s Force (FP) consolidated its presence in the teaching sector through an organizational assembly led by Josefina Pimentel, head of the political entity’s Secretariat of Education. During the meeting, a large group of teachers who are formally joining the party’s ranks and its teaching current were sworn in.
Pimentel, who is a member of the organization’s Political Directorate, urged the new members to work under the ethical, moral, and democratic principles promoted by former President Leonel Fernández. The objective, as the leader highlighted, is to strengthen the party’s structures in view of the country’s upcoming electoral challenges.
Commitment to Dominican education
During her presentation, the former Minister of Education highlighted the contributions made to the educational system during the administrations of Leonel Fernández, especially noting the enactment of the General Education Law 66-97. According to Pimentel, this regulatory framework was fundamental for the institutional development of the sector.
The country requires a new impetus and a new stage of educational transformation that once again places knowledge as the main engine of national development.

Likewise, the leader criticized the current government administration, asserting that the country has experienced setbacks in the quality of public services, which is why she emphasized the importance of mobilizing teachers to strengthen the organization with a view toward the 2028 elections.
New members and local structure
The assembly featured the participation of key party figures at both the local and national levels, including Adhamilka Espinal, national coordinator of Fuerza Magisterial, and Andrés Acosta, provincial president of the FP in Duarte, who reaffirmed the educators’ commitment to the growth of the teaching movement in the region.
For her part, Altagracia Rosa, president of the FP in San Francisco de Macorís, presented the municipal management team, composed of prominent educators committed to educational quality. Among those sworn in are:
- Norkelly Álvarez, Francisca Paulino, Dinalda Matías Polanco, María Nieves Ogando, María Henríquez, Isabel Henríquez, Evelyn Borgen, Luis Estévez, Jesús Francisco, Wilfry Sánchez Mejía, María Alvarado Bonilla, Francisco Alexis García de la Cruz, Elizabeth Fabián, Franklin Sánchez, Milton Hernández, Aleyda Ortega, Lusen Burgos Rosa, Ury Hernández, Esmirna Burgos, Ana Reynoso, Ana María Paredes, María Ortencia, Miledys Sierra, Rebeca Brito, Ismael Jiménez, Melvin Marte and Manuel Santos.
The activity concluded with a call to keep alive the civic values and the legacy of the founding father Juan Pablo Duarte, reaffirming the Fuerza del Pueblo’s vision of building a society with greater integrity and better opportunities for the teaching sector.
