The José Francisco Peña Gómez Magisterial Current consolidates its leadership in the Southern region

With the goal of strengthening its leadership structure and expanding its influence within the national teaching profession, the José Francisco Peña Gómez Teacher’s Current carried out an intense mobilization and organization campaign throughout the Southern region of the Dominican Republic this past weekend.

The initiative included holding strategic assemblies in the ten provinces that make up this area of the country, achieving active participation from representatives from the 60 municipalities in the region. In total, more than 1,500 teaching leaders gathered at these meetings to align objectives and strengthen the unity of the union.

A process of national consolidation

During the meetings, the participants socialized and formally adopted the organization’s Mission and Vision, which were previously defined in a general plenary. According to the movement’s spokespersons, this exercise was fundamental to consolidate coordination between provincial and municipal leaders.

Under the motto Moving forward together!, the organization reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Dominican teaching profession and its intention to maintain a constant and active presence in all areas of the national territory.

The leadership of the José Francisco Peña Gómez Teacher’s Current described the deployment in the South as a resounding success, highlighting the high mobilization capacity and the commitment demonstrated by its local structures. These actions are part of a strategic work plan that seeks to position the organization as a key reference in the education sector.

Finally, it was reported that the agenda of mobilizations will continue to be developed in the other regions of the country, following the roadmap established to guarantee the growth and sustainability of its organizational structure at the national level.
