The Dominican Republic national team reaffirmed its status as the favorite in the III Caribbean Kids Series by closing the regular phase undefeated. The Quisqueyan squad authoritatively overcame Mexico Red with a resounding 11-1 score, achieving victory via knockout and extending its absolute dominance on the diamond.
With this result, the national team reached a perfect 4-0 record in the qualifying round, also extending a historic streak of 17 consecutive victories in the competition since 2024, consolidating itself as the team to beat in the tournament.
Historic power offensive
The Dominican attack was the determining factor of the match, standing out for a day of pure power by connecting a total of four home runs. Daniel Paniagua and Germán Paulino were the main architects of the offense, combining to produce eight of the team’s 11 runs.
Daniel Paniagua delivered a memorable performance by hitting two home runs, including the first grand slam in the entire history of the Kids Caribbean Series. The young talent finished the game 3-for-3, with five RBIs and three runs scored.
For his part, Germán Paulino also shone at the plate with two home runs, three RBIs, and two runs scored, demonstrating the depth and danger of the Dominican line-up that defined the game with decisive rallies in the third and fourth innings.
Solidness from the mound
The pitching staff kept the Mexican offense at bay throughout the entire journey:
