Dío Astacio’s administration in Santo Domingo Este reaches massive support according to recent study
The administration of Mayor Dío Astacio in Santo Domingo Este is going through a moment of high citizen appreciation. According to a recent measurement carried out by Cosecha Consulting Group, 81.77% of residents rate the municipal management as excellent to good, consolidating the positive impact of the initiatives implemented in the municipality.
The study, conducted between July 17 and 21, 2026, featured a representative sample of 2,044 people distributed across the three constituencies of the district, offering a clear overview of the citizens’ perception regarding the current management of the City Council.
Voting intention and satisfaction with basic services
Citizen trust also translates into the electoral sphere. When asked about their voting intention in a current municipal election scenario, 68.71% of respondents supported the figure of Dío Astacio. This support is backed by the perceived improvement in critical services, where 74.52% of participants expressed being satisfied or extremely satisfied with solid waste collection efforts in their respective sectors.
Projects highlighted by the citizens
Citizens have positively evaluated various programs and projects promoted by the council. Among the initiatives with the highest level of approval are:
- Installation of trash containers: 91.60 %
- Waste collection: 89.30 %
- Construction of the SISDRAP: 88.50 %
- Costa del Faro city brand: 87.70 %
- Improvement of parks and public spaces: 86.90 %
- PROA English for Children program: 85.20 %
- Fixed trash collection days: 84.50 %
- Scrap metal collection: 82.40 %
The indicators reflect a favorable perception of one of the main municipal services and, at the same time, the importance of continuing to strengthen its coverage and efficiency.

Additionally, 69.18% of those surveyed stated that the waste collection service has experienced a notable improvement, while 60.16% confirmed that the established schedules and frequencies are being met. These results position the current administration with a solid foundation to continue developing projects focused on community well-being, storm drainage, and the educational training of youth in Santo Domingo Este.
