Air operations between the Dominican Republic and Colombia remain stable after earthquake
Despite the powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake that shook various areas of Colombia this Monday, air operations at Las Américas International Airport (AILA) continue to proceed completely normally. Airport authorities have confirmed that there have been no recorded interruptions in flights to the South American country.
Luis López, a representative for Aerodom, reported that flights destined for El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá continue to operate according to their regular schedule. To date, no cancellations or modifications have been reported in the flow of passengers between Santo Domingo and the Colombian capital, ensuring the continuity of service following the seismic event.
Arajet confirms regularity in its flights
The Dominican airline Arajet, which has an important network of direct connections to Colombian territory, also spoke about the status of its operations. Manuel Luna, the company’s director of communications, assured that air activity has not been affected by the seismic movement.
