Celso Juan Marranzini demands consistency in the judicial process against Jean Alain Rodríguez
The president of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), Celso Juan Marranzini, stated that it is essential for the Dominican judicial system to demonstrate firmness and consistency in the case involving the former Attorney General of the Republic, Jean Alain Rodríguez. According to the businessman, the magnitude of the accusations presented demands that the process reach a definitive resolution in the courts.
Marranzini stressed that the credibility of the country’s institutions and the effectiveness of the fight against corruption depend directly on how these types of high-profile cases are handled. For the head of Conep, it would not be logical that, after multiple infractions and a scheme of embezzlement involving millions have been pointed out, the case does not culminate in a clear judicial determination.
Coherence is at stake, because if a case is brought to induction where it is announced that there are so many millions and so many infractions, then we really have to see how that is taken to the level of justice and brought to reality.

Impact on institutionality
The business leader emphasized that public perception regarding transparency and the fight against impunity is closely linked to the outcome of this process. Currently, the case against the former official continues its course in the courts, where the parties involved are presenting their arguments and evidence before the judges.
The position of the private sector, represented by Marranzini, reinforces the need to strengthen the rule of law, ensuring that any irregularity reported by the authorities is duly processed to guarantee that justice prevails in the Dominican Republic.
