Blow to drug trafficking: More than 600 portions of drugs and weapons seized in Monte Plata
In a forceful operational deployment, agents from the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM) together with Preventive Police units executed a series of strategic interventions in various parts of the Monte Plata province. The result of these actions was the seizure of more than 600 portions of illicit substances, in addition to the confiscation of illegal firearms and the capture of several individuals in flagrante delicto.
Interventions in Sabana Grande de Boyá
The municipality of Sabana Grande de Boyá was one of the main focuses of the operation. In the Tarana sector, specifically on Proyecto Street, the authorities managed to confiscate more than 400 portions of different narcotics, including a significant amount of rocky material, presumably crack.
During this deployment, Inocencio de Jesús Javier Peña, 33, was arrested. At the time of his capture, a Glock pistol, which he was carrying illegally, was seized from him, along with a magazine and 30 rounds, in addition to other incriminating items.
In a parallel action, agents captured 24-year-old Miguel Starly Peña Rivera, who was carrying 256 portions of prohibited substances, a Taurus brand firearm without the corresponding documentation, and a cell phone.
Results in Yamasá
The offensive against criminality extended to the municipality of Yamasá. There, police authorities arrested Jadys Omar López Núñez and Luis Adrián Ortiz. Both are linked to the possession of narcotic substances, cash, and a revolver of illicit origin.
These actions are part of the preventive and investigative efforts carried out to combat the trafficking of illicit substances and the illegal possession of firearms in the Monte Plata province.

The law enforcement institution confirmed that all detainees, as well as the evidence collected during the operations, were taken into custody. The individuals will be presented before the corresponding departments to face due legal process and answer for the charges brought against them.
