Lenin Núñez’s defense clarifies reasons for his departure from the country after incident with Emmanuel Contreras
Attorney Dianniris Perderaux, legal representative for Lenin Jhericop Núñez de León, provided details regarding the circumstances that allowed her client to leave the Dominican Republic following the altercation in which Emmanuel Contreras was seriously injured, an event that subsequently led to his death.
According to the jurist, at the time Núñez de León left the national territory, there were no migratory restrictions or travel bans against him. Perderaux emphasized that, during the initial stage of the investigation, her client was not listed as a suspect, but rather his procedural status was that of a robbery victim.
The young Lenin was a victim of a robbery. People who are victims in a legal process do not have an exit ban.
