Luis Abinader promotes the development of Santiago with a strategic work agenda
President Luis Abinader completed his second day of work in the province of Santiago this Tuesday, focusing his efforts on consolidating vital projects for the economic and social growth of the Northern region. During the meeting, the president held key discussions with various productive sectors, trade unions, and local authorities to follow up on priority issues.
Dialogue with productive and social sectors
The head of state’s agenda included a meeting with the Association of Housing Promoters and Builders of the Cibao (APROCOVICI), where the main focus was housing development and the planned urban expansion of the city. Likewise, the president exchanged views with the directors of the Association of Provision Wholesalers of Santiago (AMAPROSAN) to analyze the current landscape of commercial activity and strengthen the local productive apparatus.
One of the highlights was the working lunch with the representatives of Compromiso Santiago, a space where strategies to boost economic development and social cohesion throughout the demarcation were discussed.
Attention to basic services and infrastructure
The Government’s commitment to the efficiency of public services was evidenced in the work sessions with the Electric Cabinet and the health sector. In these meetings, the necessary actions to strengthen the national energy system and optimize the quality of health services received by the population of Santiago were evaluated.
This series of strategic meetings seeks to tangibly improve the living conditions of communities, promoting high-impact infrastructure works that will transform the Northern region.
The day also included a meeting with the Water and Construction Cabinet, where progress on ongoing infrastructure projects was reviewed. In addition, President Abinader met with deputies and mayors of the province to hear firsthand the specific needs of the municipalities and coordinate joint solutions that guarantee the well-being of their inhabitants.
The president concluded his intense work agenda with a private dinner, reaffirming his interest in maintaining direct communication with the sectors that drive the progress of Santiago.
