Stalin Alcántara asserts that the integration of “Cholitin” would consolidate David Collado’s presidential project in La Altagracia

Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) leader, Stalin Alcántara, highlighted the positive impact that the addition of La Altagracia senator, Rafael Barón Duluc, known as “Cholitin,” would have on the political project promoting the presidential pre-candidacy of the current Minister of Tourism, David Collado.

During a strategic meeting with the leadership of the ruling party, Alcántara emphasized that Duluc’s figure has an exceptional rating in the Eastern region, which would be decisive in strengthening Collado’s structure ahead of the 2028 electoral challenges.

The reality that I see here, in this scenario that is composed of men and women of the Modern Revolutionary Party in this province, is that with the senator’s entry here, we are going to win in La Altagracia 80 to 20.

Trajectory and vision for 2028

Alcántara took advantage of the space to highlight David Collado’s solid track record in public management. The current Minister of Tourism has a resume that includes his performance as a deputy for the National District (2010-2016) and his tenure as head of the National District City Hall (2016-2020), periods in which he has managed to consolidate an image of efficiency and approachability.

The leader called for continuing territorial work, stressing that building a presidential candidacy requires the active integration of mayors, deputies, councilors, and the entire leadership base of the party. According to Alcántara, these actions are fundamental to positioning Collado as the preferred option in the PRM’s internal process in 2027 and, subsequently, in the 2028 general elections.

National expansion of the political structure

The “David Collado 2028” project has intensified its organizational work throughout the country. Recently, the movement held simultaneous work sessions in various strategic areas, including:

  • Santiago
  • Mao
  • Higüey
  • Bahoruco

These meetings featured a large turnout of legislators, municipal authorities, and community leaders, focusing on the coordination of provincial and municipal teams. With this deployment, the structure seeks to consolidate its presence in the Cibao, Northwest, East, and South regions of the Dominican Republic, reaffirming the team’s commitment to the Minister of Tourism’s presidential project.
