Karla Groizard ventures into literature with her novel Lights, Camera and Love

Renowned film producer Karla Groizard has taken a significant step in her professional career by debuting in the literary world with the publication of Lights, Camera, and Love. This contemporary romance novel transports readers to the exotic beaches of Koh Samui, in Thailand, blending a passion for the seventh art with a captivating love story.

During the official presentation of the work, Groizard highlighted that, although the text integrates various personal experiences and emotions that give depth to the narrative, the plot is a completely fictional creation. The author emphasized that, while there are nuances of her own essence in the characters, the story remains independent of her personal reality.

A story between film sets

The plot follows the steps of Beatriz, a talented art director who moves to Thailand for work commitments. There, her destiny crosses with that of Kai Moreau, a famous actor and musician involved in the same film project. As the filming progresses, a complex relationship emerges between them, marked by the contrast of their personalities, humor, and an inevitable attraction.

The book has a lot of me in it, all its characters, all its facets, its background, but it is completely fictional. It is a story that makes you feel like you went on a trip, fell in love, and lived a movie without moving from where you are.

The hallmark of a film professional

The technical background of the novel draws directly from Groizard’s career, who has worked in the audiovisual industry since 2012. The author has managed to accurately convey the dynamics, tensions, and creative processes that occur behind the scenes, giving the work a particular realism that only someone with her experience could imprint.

The writing process for Lights, Camera, and Love began in April 2025 and lasted for a year. To achieve the ideal setting, Groizard conducted exhaustive research on Thai culture, choosing Koh Samui as the perfect backdrop for this romance. The book launch stood out for its creative staging, which allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the novel’s universe.
