Viktor Gyökeres has addressed the topic of “player power” following his recent moves and those of his national teammate, Alexander Isak, during the transfer market.
Both Swedish forwards starred in significant transfers to Arsenal and Liverpool, respectively, after lengthy negotiations between the clubs involved.
The president of Gyökeres’ former club, Sporting, expressed his position before reaching an agreement with Arsenal, stating that he would not accept “blackmail and insults” in the negotiations over their star.
Isak joined Liverpool on the last day of the transfer market, after, like Gyökeres, expressing his desire to leave his previous club.
