New York Yankees donate funds to fight childhood cancer in the Dominican Republic
The New York Yankees Foundation has made a significant donation of $16,000 to the Amigos Contra el Cáncer Infantil Foundation (FACCI), solidifying its commitment to supporting social causes in the Dominican Republic. The delivery act was attended by Joel Lithgow, director of the Yankees for Latin America, and Melissa Hernandez, assistant player development and education of the organization.FACCI, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life and increasing the survival rate of children diagnosed with cancer. It offers comprehensive support including medical assistance, accommodation, and psychosocial support to both patients and their families. Lithgow added that this donation is one of several initiatives that the Yankees foundation will carry out in the coming days in favor of aid and community organizations in the Dominican Republic.With this donation we are supporting FACCI in the great work they do. Our mission together with FACCI is that every child with cancer has the opportunity to face their illness with dignity and win this battle.
