Dominican Republic Women’s U-17 Team Dominates in the 2026 Concacaf Qualifiers

The Dominican Republic Women’s U-17 National Team continues its overwhelming performance in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers 2026, achieving its second consecutive victory with an impressive 11-0 win over the U.S. Virgin Islands. The match took place this Monday at the Miguel “Chocorrón” Buitriago Stadium, in Managua, Nicaragua.

The standout figure of the match was Giocarla Durán, who scored five goals, leading the offense of the team coached by coach Luis “Bolocho” Lluberes. With this result, the Sedofútbol Under-17 Women’s team has two victories in two appearances, both with high scores.

In addition to Durán’s goals, the scoreboard was completed with annotations from Jazmyn Díaz (from a penalty), K. Osorio (own goal), Emelie Asenjo, Delilah Ramírez, and Gia Fernández.

In their first two matches, the Dominican Republic has demonstrated remarkable offensive power, scoring 18 goals and keeping their goal untouched, without receiving yellow cards.

After the first two days, the Dominican team leads Group A with six points and a goal difference of +18, followed by Nicaragua, also with six units (+15). Belize, U.S. Virgin Islands and Dominica have not yet scored any points.

The Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers features the participation of 29 teams, divided into six groups. The first places of each group and the two best second places will advance to the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship, the final phase of the pre-World Cup. Canada, United States, Mexico, and Puerto Rico are already directly classified by ranking.

The U-17 Women’s Sedofútbol will rest this Wednesday and resume action on Friday, January 30 against Belize, to close the group stage on Sunday, February 1 against the host selection of Nicaragua. Both matches will be played at 9:00 p.m. (Dominican Republic time) at the Miguel “Chocorrón” Buitriago Stadium.
