Florida. The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism has confirmed its official sponsorship of the Dominican team that will compete in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. This strategic action seeks to enhance the country’s international visibility through sports tourism.The announcement was made at LoanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins in Miami. The event was attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, who was accompanied by the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz; the president of the Dominican Baseball Federation, Juan Núñez; and the general manager of the Dominican team, Nelson Cruz.

The World Baseball Classic is one of the sporting events with the largest global audience and provides us with an extraordinary platform to show the world everything that the Dominican Republic offers as a tourist destination.
