Gore, remembered for his ability to change the course of games, left an indelible mark on Major League Baseball (MLB). His time with teams like the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, and New York Mets, solidified him as a valuable player, especially for his ability to steal bases and his defensive prowess. The announcement of his death caused shock in the American sports community, with messages of condolence and tributes coming from various baseball organizations and personalities.

Gore was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2011 draft and made his MLB debut in September 2014. Over eight seasons, he stood out as a pinch runner and defensive reliever, leveraging his speed in crucial moments. He was part of three World Series champion teams: the Royals in 2015, the Dodgers in 2020, and the Braves in 2021. In his career, he participated in 112 regular season games, accumulating 33 runs scored and 43 stolen bases. In the postseason, he achieved five steals and scored two runs. After his retirement in 2022, Gore dedicated himself to coaching baseball and speed for young people in Panama, as well as managing a local company. His legacy will endure both for his performance on the field and for the values he transmitted outside of it.
