They reaffirmed their confidence that, thanks to the joint work between sports institutions, the support of the State and the Organizing Committee, “the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American Games will be a regional model in organization, competitiveness and, above all, a source of national pride.” Finally, they stated that for the Dominican Republic it will be a great honor to organize the centenary edition of the Central American Games, supported by Centro Caribe Sports (formerly Odecabe), an organization chaired by the Dominican Luis Mejía Oviedo.“Our only mission is for the Dominican Republic to emerge victorious from this challenge, organizing and celebrating Games that are up to the circumstances, as the authorities and sports leadership have done every time we host a multi-sport festival.”
