Dominican Republic Ready for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore
Santo Domingo – The Dominican Republic’s national swimming and diving teams are already in Singapore to compete in the 2025 World Aquatics Championships. This event, one of the most outstanding of the year, will run until August 3rd. The Dominican delegation will participate in the disciplines of swimming and diving, presenting a combination of experienced Olympic athletes and young promises of national aquatic sports.Dominican Representation in Swimming and Diving
In swimming, the country will be represented by Olympians Elizabeth Jiménez, Javier Núñez and Josué Domínguez, along with the young María Alejandra Fernández. The team will be led by national coach Henry Reyes. In diving, the Dominican representation will be composed of Olympians Victoria Garza, Jonathan Ruvalcaba and Frandiel Gómez, in addition to Saymol Sánchez. The technical team will be led by coach Luis Boudet. Accompanying the delegation is Radhamés Tavárez, president of the Dominican Federation of Aquatic Sports (FEDDA), who will also be sworn in at the international congress during the event.The Dominican Republic’s participation in this championship is a crucial part of its preparation for future regional and international competitions, including the Olympic Games and the Pan American Championships.“We always expect a good performance from our athletes, who are well prepared to raise our flag high,” expressed Radhamés Tavárez from Singapore.
