SANTO DOMINGO – The Puerto Plata Mariners defeated the Santo Domingo Lions with a score of 100-93 in an exciting regular season match of the LNB Super League, held this Friday at the San Carlos Club.

This triumph not only represents a victory, but also consolidates the Mariners’ supremacy over the Lions in the particular series, with a score of 2-0. With this result, the Puerto Plata team rises to fifth place in the table, recording a 7-7 record. For their part, the Lions, with a balance of 5-10, are in seventh position, with one game remaining.

The key to the Mariners’ triumph lay in their performance in the final quarter, where they limited the Lions to only 14 points, while they scored 31. The partial scores of the match were 25-30, 29-28, 15-21 and 31-14, demonstrating the Mariners’ superiority at the end of the game.
