MOCA – OYM University secured its spot in the 2026 Liguilla of the Dominican Republic Football League (LDF) after defeating MOCA Football Club 1-3 in a crucial match.
A Decisive Encounter
The match, which defined the last spot for the next phase, saw Universidad OYM prevail at the Moca 85 stadium.
MOCA FC took the lead with a goal by Yohan Parra in the 7th minute, but Universidad OYM reacted with determination.
Ányelo Gómez tied the score in the 34th minute, taking the match to halftime with a 1-1 draw. Gustavo Ascona missed a penalty for MOCA FC before the end of the first half.
Second Half and Definition
In the second half, MOCA FC sought to regain the lead, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
Enmanuel Cuello scored for the OYM University at minute 76, putting the score at 1-2. Ányelo Gómez, again, scored at minute 80, sealing the final 1-3.
With this result and the tie between Atlántico FC and Jarabacoa FC, Universidad OYM secured their qualification to the Liguilla 2026.
