ATLANTA. – The 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game promises to be a celebration of Latin American talent. Eight players of Latin origin have been selected as starters for the event, which will be held on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta. The official lineups, defined after the fans’ vote, demonstrate the relevance of Latino players in today’s baseball. Their performances this season have been remarkable, and the global fanbase recognizes and celebrates their contribution to the sport.

American League: Caribbean Domination

The American League will have four Latino starters. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Toronto Blue Jays), from the Dominican Republic, will be the first baseman for the fourth time. Javier Báez, center fielder for the Detroit Tigers, returns to the stellar lineup, while Venezuelan Gleyber Torres will make his debut as a starter at second base. José Ramírez (Cleveland Guardians), also Dominican, will be at third base.

National League: Latino Talent in Action

In the National League, four other Latino players will lead the lineup. Ronald Acuña Jr. (Atlanta Braves), from Venezuela, an iconic figure and local favorite, will be in the outfield for the fifth time. Ketel Marte (Arizona Diamondbacks), from the Dominican Republic, will play second base, and Manny Machado (San Diego Padres) at third. The shortstop will be Francisco Lindor (New York Mets), from Puerto Rico, who debuts as a starter in the event.
