Santo Domingo.- The mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, expressed her gratitude to the hundreds of citizens who gathered at the Santo Domingo Park, located on the Malecón of the capital, to enjoy the live broadcast of the exciting match between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela in the framework of the World Baseball Classic. The event, organized by the Mayor’s Office of the National District, gave the families of the capital the opportunity to experience the game in a public and festive atmosphere.

Massive participation despite the rain

The official highlighted the notable participation of people who, despite the rain that occurred during the afternoon, arrived early at the venue to be part of this sporting celebration. Dominican and Venezuelan fans shared the space in front of the Caribbean Sea, demonstrating the passion that baseball generates in both countries.
