Jared Kushner projects start of Hamas disarmament in 30 days under peace plan
The United States special envoy for the Middle East, Jared Kushner, has pointed to a key timeline for the stabilization of the region. After holding strategic meetings in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Kushner stated that the process to dismantle Hamas’s military structure could be set in motion over the course of the next month.
We could be seeing progress in as little as 30 days, hopefully starting to remove some of the weapons and, hopefully, also filling in some of the tunnels.

Conditions for the reconstruction of Gaza
The roadmap presented by Washington establishes a non-negotiable premise: the reconstruction of Gaza is strictly contingent upon the demilitarization of the extremist group. According to Kushner, international investment will not be channeled into the territory until it is guaranteed that Hamas has lost its operational capacity as an armed organization, thus preventing resources from being diverted once again to war-related purposes.
- Verified disarmament: The plan includes international supervision to ensure the permanent withdrawal of weaponry.
- Stabilization mechanism: The creation of a security force led by U.S. General Jasper Jeffers is planned to oversee compliance with the agreements.
- Sovereign defense: The United States maintains its commitment to support Israel’s right to defend itself against any threat that puts its security at risk.
Regional outlook and tensions with Iran
In addition to the efforts in Gaza, Kushner addressed Washington’s stance toward Iran. The diplomat stressed that the diplomatic path remains open, provided that Tehran demonstrates a real willingness to renounce its capacity to develop nuclear weapons. So far, the official warned that the Iranian counterpart has not shown a willingness to accept a proposal that the United States considers acceptable.
The US administration thus seeks to balance two complex fronts: the demilitarization of Hamas as a prerequisite for the civil recovery of Gaza and diplomatic pressure on the Iranian nuclear program, while maintaining a firm stance on regional security guarantees.
