Trough will cause scattered downpours this Saturday; high temperatures persist
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) has issued its forecast for this Saturday, warning of the occurrence of scattered showers, thunderstorms, and possible wind gusts, phenomena driven by the incidence of a trough over the national territory and the effects of daytime heating.
During the morning, passing showers are expected in provinces such as La Altagracia, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, and Samaná. As the day progresses, the impact of the trough and high afternoon temperatures will cause an increase in cloudiness, extending precipitation toward San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Azua, San Juan, Elías Piña, and Greater Santo Domingo.

- A tropical wave is expected to emerge off the coast of Africa early next week, with a 20% chance of cyclonic development over the next seven days.
