Justice: This Sunday the coercive measure against the accused for the death of a young man in Los Praditos will be announced
The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District has scheduled for this Sunday, starting at 9:00 in the morning, the hearing for the coercive measure against Lenin Jhericop Núñez de León. The defendant is accused of his alleged responsibility in the death of Emmanuel Contreras Medina, a case that has caused great consternation.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has formally requested the imposition of pretrial detention against Núñez de León. The accusing body bases its request on the imminent risk of flight, arguing that the defendant left the national territory immediately after the events occurred.

The tragic outcome occurred on September 9, after several days in which Contreras Medina remained in a coma under intensive care at the Ney Arias Lora Trauma Hospital. The victim did not manage to recover from the severe injuries suffered during an altercation recorded on July 1 at a baseball field located in the Los Praditos sector.
According to the investigation’s narrative, the conflict originated after a meeting arranged for the delivery of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Joan Manuel Jiménez Medina is also linked to the operation, who is identified by the authorities as the person who received the victim’s money for the mobile device.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Núñez de León allegedly chased the victim with a bat, striking him with blunt blows to the back and head that caused him to fall to the pavement, resulting in the fatal injuries.
