Europe on high alert due to devastating forest fires
The European continent faces a critical day this Friday due to a series of forest fires that have devastated various regions. The situation has left a worrying toll of dozens of people injured and has forced thousands of residents and tourists to leave their homes and accommodations for safety.
Critical situation in Croatia
Croatia has been one of the countries hardest hit by the wave of fire. Local authorities have confirmed that at least 36 people have been injured, ten of them in serious condition, after a fire managed to reach strategic residential areas on the country’s coast. The magnitude of the disaster has forced the immediate evacuation of more than 2,000 people, including both local residents and tourists who were in the area.
This is one of the worst fires in the history of Croatia. The flames have consumed between 900 and 1,000 hectares of land so far.
