Strengthening alliances between families and educational centers in Azua for the 2026-2027 school year
Regional Education Office 03, based in Azua, has launched an important training session aimed at principals of both public and private educational centers. The main objective of this program is to enhance the involvement and active participation of families and the community in the teaching-learning process during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
This series of meetings, which are taking place from August 31st to September 4th, responds to the guidelines of the Directorate of Community Participation. The purpose is to provide the management teams of the region’s educational districts with strategic tools to effectively integrate fathers, mothers, and guardians into school dynamics.
Strategies for family integration
The training was led by Moisés Corcino, head of the South Axis, together with the Community Participation technicians of Regional 03, Justina Rivera and Manuel Guerrero Ortiz. During the sessions, emphasis was placed on the operation of various key organizations for school management, such as:
- Parent, Mother, and Guardian Course Committees.
- Associations of Parents, Mothers, Guardians, and Friends of the School (APMAE).
- Schools for Parents and Mothers (EPM).
- Family and Community Networks.
Family integration is a fundamental pillar for supporting students, improving school coexistence, and strengthening the social fabric that surrounds our educational centers.

Regulatory framework and shared responsibility
To ensure effective implementation, principals were instructed on the current regulations governing family participation. Key points addressed include Ordinance 03-2025, which regulates participation bodies, and Departmental Order 52-2025, focused on updating the Schools for Parents. Likewise, Law 341-19 on Responsible Maternity and Paternity was analyzed as a framework to promote co-responsibility in the comprehensive development of students.
With these actions, Regional 03 seeks for directors to act not only as administrators, but as facilitators of spaces for constant dialogue. The success of this initiative will be measured by the ability of educational centers to consolidate a close alliance with their environment, ensuring that family support is a driver of academic and personal success for all students in the province of Azua.
