Dominican Republic boosts its digital ecosystem at the fifth edition of the Dominicana Fintech Forum
The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, led the opening of the fifth edition of the Dominicana Fintech Forum (DFF), a key event that brought together financial sector leaders, technology experts, and investors to analyze the future of the digital economy and innovation in the country.
The meeting, organized by the Dominican Association of Fintech Companies (ADOFINTECH), took place on August 26 and 27 at the Marriott Piantini Hotel. Over two days, attendees explored critical topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the evolution of digital payments, and the strengthening of financial inclusion.
Formalization of the Dominican ICT Alliance
One of the most relevant milestones of this event was the creation of the Dominican ICT Alliance. This agreement was signed by the representatives of ADOFINTECH, ClusterSoft, and the Dominican Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies (Cámara TIC).

The main objective of this alliance is to accelerate the adoption of new technologies, enhance the digital skills of local talent, and facilitate access to digital tools for MSMEs, thus promoting greater competitiveness at a national level.
Innovation and sector challenges
The academic agenda delved into the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and the urgency of strengthening cybersecurity protocols. High-profile specialists, including representatives from Mastercard, CardNET, and Servicios Digitales Popular-AZUL, discussed the role of electronic payments, the use of stablecoins, and digital identity solutions.
