Investigation into the death of a police officer found in the waters of San Pedro de Macorís
Dominican authorities have initiated an investigative process to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of a member of the National Police, whose body was found lifeless in the waters of the Caribbean Sea, specifically in the vicinity of La Pocita beach, located in the Villa Faro sector of San Pedro de Macorís.
The deceased was identified as Héctor Samuel Peña Ramírez, 23 years of age. At the time of the discovery, the officer was off-duty and resided in the same district where he was located. His identity was fully confirmed after his institutional identification card was found among his belongings.
