Tension in Navarrete: Army private injured during work stoppage
The municipality of Villa Bisonó, better known as Navarrete, in the province of Santiago, is going through moments of high tension due to a 48-hour strike called by popular organizations. During the protests, which have led to various riots, a private of the Dominican Republic Army was injured.
The soldier, identified as Omar Peña Pérez, suffered an injury to one of his arms while performing surveillance duties in the area. The uniformed officer was immediately transported to a health center to receive the necessary medical attention following the incident.

- Completion of the municipal landfill relocation process.
- Substantial improvements in the quality and stability of the electrical service.
- Attention to various basic infrastructure needs in the communities.
